PARIS, February 8, 2021 – IPwe today announced Lavinia Meliti’s appointment as General Counsel and Corporate Development Officer.
In her new role, Lavinia will oversee all legal matters, including but not limited to compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property, while touching upon IPwe’s business development and strategic partnerships.
“Lavinia has a unique combination of depth and breadth across different jurisdictions and cultural frameworks that make her valuable as a new member of the executive leadership team at IPwe,” said IPwe CEO Erich Spangenberg. ”IPwe operates around the world and our executive team needs to have the right perspective and experience to meet the global demands we face every day.”
Lavinia is native of Rome, Italy. After graduating from law school in Italy, Lavinia moved to the U.S. and earned a second law degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, where she is licensed to practice of law.
Prior to joining IPwe, Lavinia was an attorney in Miami where she focused on intellectual property matters. She has extensive experience in researching international and comparative law issues and is a regular contributor to law journals in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.
